So I pulled all the seat posts from every bike in the stable towards the end of last year, but couldn't believe it when I finally went to do the Genesis (obviously the workhorse in the stable) and the seat post was already seized. I wasn't looking forward to wrestling with it so kind of forgot about it but planned to take it through to Stirling to a guy who specialises in these things. Anyway, I was fettling something else on the bike today, and I found some plus gas in the back of a cupboard, so I thought I would stick the steed in the vice and see how I got on, and voila. My question is though, should I replace my seat post or would I be OK with cleaning and greasing the original?
