SFA president George Peat, but as he's my father-in-law I shake hands with him every Christmas ;0)

At the U2 concert I was in a box with Walter Smith, Rangers boss, but I didn't shake his hand. In fact I wasn't even talking to him despite the fact he was three-foot away from me. There was also some football player there but I don't know his name.

Met David Wilkie when I was ten. I don't get out much ;0)

He was in a pub drinking quietly with some girl before a Jam gig many years ago and some kids had heard he was in there and came in looking to get his autograph. They clearly had no idea what he looked like and came to the table where me an my mate were sitting and asked if we'd seen him! He was on the next table FFS! I introduced them to my mate and said "don't you recognise him?" and they began asking my mate for his autograph thinking he was Weller! Soon, loads of people were coming in and up to our table getting my mate's autograph thinking it was Weller's! As he got up to leave, Weller came over and shook us by the hands thanking us for the fans leaving him alone!

infact my first job in this industry I work in, was as a merchandiser for a tour company (ie selling t-shirts at gigs), and the first tour I went on was with Frankie Goes To Hollywood. All real nice guys, nicest was the drummer.. top top man..
Ian Dury was a real gentleman....

That is purely brilliant. Mine was more boring
Weller "Where is the cutlery mate?"
Me and my dad at the same time " Just over there"

Yehudi Menuhin - towards the end of his playing career. He made an awful racket, but was a hugely nice person.

David Gedge - manning the souvenir stand at his own gig

Brian Jacks once sat down next to me on a plane, but before I could shake his hand he was removed by the police.

Gotta ask why?

S'obvious. A judo guy on a plane. On an aeroplane with weapons registered as deadly at the local police station? With hands registered as dedly weapons, on a plane? Arrest him, Sergeant.
