At least it hasn't wiped my post count.

Tea anyone?
I'm at a friend's downloading updates to see if I can wring the last bits of life from this old laptop before it dies completely.

At least I'll have read all of this one!

I was just thinking that, as I read through from the start.

Who would have thought that we could put too much tea in a thread.

Tdr1nka!!! *manly hug*

If a thread has more than about 10000 posts it can slow the forum down, so Tea and the Chain got split. Nothing sinister's going on...

'Noon all.

I'm back. What's been happening? The Tea thread has got mysteriously abbreviated, but I was expecting that to happen sooner or later...

How was the bike race in York? Did anyone famous fall off?

Any other news and gossip?

Hellloooo!

I didn't see anyone fall off, there were a couple of rideres who came through some minutes after the main pack, apparently they had fallen off earlier. We had a fab day though - Pocklington was heaving with cyclists, we sat outside a cafe eating cake and listening to an accordian busker, and then went and saw them come through (about 20 seconds worth of action) and then we high-tailed it back to York for the end. It was a nice warm day and a bunch of us just sat on the grass of Monk Stray afterwards. There are some pics we took in the thread in Informal Rides.

While you're there, we have 2 future events in planning, for Oct and Nov....

Tea? anyone?

Sorry, I ate the rest, he'll had to make do with a uni-wagon.

I should head home. I have meatball for dinner, and after a successful forage in the reduced section earlier, some fish and minc to portion up for the freezer.

And I've promised to knit someone an Aye-aye.

First day of college went well. Conversation of the day:-

Young girl to dinner lady.

"Could I have a tea please?"

"We only have fruit tea or early grey."

"What's earl grey like?"

"It's not like ordinary tea, it tastes horrible, you will not like it."

"OK I will have a chocolate instead."

How could she say that?

Off to college now, see you later.
