Someone will most likely link to it, but I believe there is a group trying to get a Concorde airborne again, I understand they have enough money so far to buy an aircraft, though that is a fraction of what it will cost to get it certified and maintain it flying.

Sadly, that's pure wishful thinking. It will never happen.

I knew I'd seen it somewhere.

As I said though, buying one and getting one operational are entirely different things., someone with bottomless pockets would be needed.

I read a piece y'day saying the last flight will get cancelled by plod if too many people threaten to turn up to watch.

D'oh!

And the Farewell Tour link in my post above is now dead.

Meanwhile, their Twitter feed was updated yesterday saying that the routes will be published tomorrow evening (ie today).

Just got the email with this weekend's routes. The southern one (on Sunday) will pass over the Severn Bridges. Might make an effort to go - now just need to work out where to take my camera for the best shot - would be nice to get one with the old bridge in it (the suspension bridge is much nicer than the new bridge!)

Unfortunately I have a prior engagement on Sunday so I won't be able to ride down to Bruntingthorpe.

Having said that, the prior engagement will include beer, so not all bad.

Hi @DaveReading - any idea how I find the timings? It'll be passing within 5k of my house!
