How long ago and where , its busy now in the tourist towns.
Avoid the tourist towns then.

This thread is about an event, not a cycle route that takes in part of a tourist coastal route.

Its based on the Wild Atlantic Way,every town on the route is a tourist town now. Just like the NW500 it has become a bucket list destination/ travel route.

It follows the Wild Atlantic Way, which itself was started to join up smaller routes and to get some tourist traffic down the west coast of Ireland. Which at the time, wasn't getting as much as the east coast.

You don't like the route, leave alone/find your own(fairly easy do). But remember its not just one thing, it's two things. The ride mentioned at the start of this thread, came after the route. Not the other way round.
