This site helps with serial numbers: https://www.kurtkaminer.com/TH_raleigh_serials.html and here - https://dentoncycles.co.uk/2018/08/...t-sbdu-and-raleigh-special-products-division/ - which is useful for SBDU bikes from Raleigh.

The 'W' means it was built in the Nottingham Lightweight Unit
'N' - October
'3' - 1983

So it's a 1983 made Raleigh Panasonic Team replica and should have Campagnolo Nuovo Record components. I'm guessing the wheels are Mavic Sup? Some came with Shimano 600 instead of Campagnolo.

This page has some interesting stuff about SBDU bikes: https://dentoncycles.co.uk/category/production-facilities/raleigh-special-products-division/

Good morning

I am surprised to see white front forks rather than blue or chrome and a black stem.

Maybe a previous owner dabbled with a CF fork or something and put these on to sell it, but it is odd to change forks and stems (sometimes a stem as the existing one is too long/short). So I would be concerned that at some point in time it was sold without either, possibly frame only and then built up into what we see now.

Bye

Not SBDU though, Raleigh nicked the W frame numbering from Carlton (Worksop) after about 1981 when it closed down.

Raleigh made loads of bikes in this colour as well as the team replica, Cadet and Corsa ring a bell. In all sorts of tubing as well.
