Whenever someone new makes me a cup of tea this is the routine.

Them - Hi would you like a cup of tea?

Me-'oh yes that would be lovely'

Them- 'what do you take'

Me - 'Really strong and just a splash of milk, please'

Them - 'Sugar?'

I just don't get it? If I took sugar I would have said when they asked what do i take!!!!! ARGHHHHH

It's like woman at checkouts. Always asking if you have a nectar card. If I had one I'd give you it. Don't know why but it drives me nuts!!!

'No, I'm sweet enough'. That's all you have to say.

Etiquette is why you ask whether they would like some sugar. Just like you're not supposed to talk about religion, food or politics as etiquette dictates too.

You could say what I say: "No thanks, I get all the sugar I need FROM THE CAKES AND BISCUITS THAT COME WITH THE TEA?"

I only started drinking tea when I was about eighteen because I was tired of saying no! I still drink the stuff despite the fact that I don't even like it.

Telli-sales is far more annoying. The shopkeeper along the road dosn't phone you up and say "Hi there, can I interest you in buying some bread?". If I need bread, I'll go and get it. So why do people think I'm going to suddenly buy double glassing just because they've phoned up?
