OK, an example: I'm following someone's wheel and they fluff a gearchange so I have to swing around.

What's that called then? (the act of fluffing a gearchange, not the swinging around bit)

What other home grown names have you got then?

A group of friends I went to school with were reminiscing in the pub one evening and none of us could remember the name of a guy who was in class 5/7, went round with John Slater and played football for the school team. This went on for years until someone bumped into him and quick as lightning he remembered his name (fortunately). This inability to recall a past acquaintance is now forever known as a "Graham Nelson".

So I can say, for example, -the guy in front of me Richarded so I flicked the bars and went past on the right-

Sounds alright to me.
