My kettle seems to boil for a second or two before the switch clicks off, so if I'm standing there, I'll pick it up sooner, I go by the sound. But it's always boiling...

Filtered coffee man me so only gets switched off when the jug is empty. So I suppose it would come under whatever.

coffee should NEVER be made with boiling water.
