wife wants bike

Can anyone suggest a cheapish first bike for the wife anything upto £ 300 is enough as I am worried she will waste the money and not use it.

Might as well get her a crap one, just in case she likes it. After all, who will be at home to cook your tea.

Might want to go second hand on something that might have promise but you could sell on if needed.

My advice would be...advise but dont choose.
Your wife may have a clear idea of what she wants...mine did. I advised..and tried to steer her toward what I thought were good bikes, which they were, but NOT what the wife really wanted.
She allowed me to sway her...and never really got on with it.
Next bike, I advised then kept shhtumm, she now has the bike SHE wanted. I still think its heavyand too big. .but she loves it, and thats all that matters.
