That's I expect that's what it is. The Rhine carries some serious shipping as well as pleasure craft.

Last post reminded me I'd been passed by one of the cargo boats while riding alongside the river. This was the Gotthard, registered in the Netherlands.

It has two cars on the roof of the cabin. Judging by its position on the river it's possible one car is in France and he other is in Germany.
