Tree. It could not have grown vertically from the bottom of the wall. I wonder if its a boundary marker tree. It was a done thing back in the day.

I'd never thought of that, I suppose looking at it it's probably too much of a coincidence to be accidental, and having just looked on Google Earth there are quite a few other trees right on the wall / fence lines in that area, including the ones behind and to the left of that one.
