£350 for road / commuter bike?

Seems this is at the very lowest end of the market from what I can see, but can you get something decent for this money? Don't want to be spending £500+ on something entry level.

Seen a Carerra virtuoso on Halfords for £300, not sure if this is going to be crappy or what...need advice!

Both the Virtuoso and the Vanquish are great bikes for the money, and both can be upgraded with higher spec parts as you progress. Over time as the BB, tyres and wheels wear.

As long as you do not want a 54 cm then the vanquish is fine the medium is a 56 , no small available.

I've seen a few Vanquishes with 105 5600 rear mechs in Halfords, must have run out of Tiagra ones at the assembly line

All the ones I've seen are Tiagra. If it does have 105 and is the same price then its a bit of a bargain.
