In between here and there
Not sure about that...
Normally recoups it might be stretching it a bit...if youre shopping for anything, you always know what price it is before you decide if youre going to pay cash or go credit..
He (the seller) doesnt know when the price is set how a customer is going to pay...and he cant change it once youve decided.
I was talking about the retailer offering interest free credit on items they sell, Credit cards make it on the assumption you will eventually pay interest to them in the future either on the original transfer amount or on future purchases.

TBF I'd never thought about it from that angle...I see something I want, I see the price...how I pay isnt predetermined on any day, but I can see where you're coming from. Im seeing it from one angle...doesnt mean its the only angle to see if from.

we got him to give us all the options and then chose the one that worked best for us. have done this 3 times. he knows we will buy the car just not how we want to pay for it.
Yes, and the costs for all the options were different weren't they?
Of course - and we plumped for the lease hire thingy as it works for us- fixed cost . will see how it pans out at the end of it before we make a decision on doing it again. Based on conversations with others it works well if you get another vehicle rather than keeping the one you have had for the term. and thats the plan.

but you can get to see the options before you buy - and get the " purchase price"

it also helps if you are hard nosed when you talk to the dealer. especially near the end of the month
