1.5 million years, stuck on my eyes
1.5 million years, what a surprise
1.5 million years, my head hurts a lot
1.5 million years, that's all we got
I thought life on Earth would last until either the oceans boiled away in a billion years time, or until Andromeda crashed into the Milky Way in about two billion years time. However, according to the book I have been reading, Alone in the Universe, the star Gliese 710 will pass through the Oort cloud in the far outer reaches of the solar system in about 1.5 million years. When that happens, it will push a lot of comets our way, so that the Earth will suffer the same sort of bombardment it hasn't undergone since the Late Heavy Bombardment 4 billion years ago
