Costco have a pack of two 100 lumen LED torches for £9.99.  How bright is this.  I only cycle on lit roads so just want to be seen more than to see.

They have 2 modes steady and strobe and a focusable lens (ie spot and flood)

200 lumen would be more than enough, provided they are indeed 100 lumen. They are lots of torches around that claim far more lumen than they can actually deliver.

I have a genuine Fenix torch that delivers 225 lumen and that is good enough to ride in complete dark so with 200 lumen you should be fine.

100 Lumen might be the LED rated for top bin (batch) but not the actual ones in the torch, and then you have losses through the glass. Assume 80 and you will be safe.

This isn't much really, a pair together isn't so bad - I have one that runs off a single AAA that does 120 lumen for example. Maybe not what you want for dark rural lanes, but would be perfectly fine for lit town roads (specially if you can set one to flash).

Doesn't sound bad for a tenner though, get 4

My 100 lumen LED torch is fine for fast riding on unlit roads. I'll be using it in about *checks time* 90 mins for a 20 mile ride.
