1000 mile completed since 5th Apr 2011 :o)

I've just clocked up my 1000 mile on my bike since buying it on the cycle to work scheme...

I'm 3 and a half stones lighter, fitter, stronger...

I'm really chuffed!

I am close to 2300 miles commuting for the year and maybe another 600 on leisure rides as the more you do the more addictive it gets

How much of that has been new tarmac. ie. new roads for you?

All Tarmac; not 'new' tarmac though, as some of the road surfaces are appalling...

Plus the local council have just 'resurfaced' some roads using the (crap) method of spraying a layer of tar over the road and spreading that grey gravel stuff on top

Why? I dunno about tar and gravel; maybe we should tar and feather the councillors
