What brand and make of chain would you recommend to go with Ultegra bits? Can't remember where I read it but people seemed to rate KMC.

I rate the KMC because of their quick link, no tools are needed to join it or take it apart.

We, at a specialised road bike shop, pretty much recomend KMC for anything! If my memory serves me corretctly, they even make chains for shimano, but don't buy shimano, buy KMC - it's a hell of a lot cheaper!

I've not been impressed with FSA chain.....Perhaps i've underestimated the wear on my cassette and that in turn wore my new chain quickly...maybe.

SRAM or KMC.. Now just using KMC. Was using the 10SC and after about 4200 miles still worked very well with only slight stretching.. Now using the 10SL.. weight weeny! hehehe!

Never done 10sp. but have used KMC chains for single speed, 8 speed, 9 speed. Some of them have been basic models, some their lighter weight versions. All good. I prefer their quick links to the SRAM ones, same basic design, just the KMC ones seem to go on and off easier.

I think the SRAM 10spd ones are pernament too whereas the KMC are not.
