I need to rebuild Shackleton's rear wheel. Ideally in the next couple of weeks or so in order to get on with training for this year's Dumb Run. He's one of the old 135mm Il Pompinos, back when they came in Tigger's Mum's Bathroom Blue.

On-One have run out of 135mm double-fixed rear hubs and the Phil Wood Kissoff starts at a whopping, eye-watering, toe-curling £173.

Any suggestions?

Scroll down for the bog standard version that comes in 4 axle lengths.

Yeah, it's lovely, but the chainline is 42.5mm as opposed to the On-One 50mm, so I'd have to change the bottom bracket as well

.

Maybe in a year when I don't have other serious commitments on my wallet!

Have you looked re-spacing a cheap System-EX hub?

They just use an axle and cartridge bearings so I am sure you could change the OLN quite simply with a longer axle and some more spacers.

You will still have the narrower chain line though so not the best answer, it also limits chain ring size if the stays kink out for a 135mm hub.
