1950's Sci-Fi Films.

I like these, and the Cold War paranoia and the zoot suits that go with them. I suppose my favourites are 'The Forbidden Planet' (great unearthly sounds in it) and 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'. But what are your favourites ?

"Klaatu Barada Nikto".
Just into the 60's the British " The Day the earth Caught Fire".
There was some classic rubbish like "Plan 9 from Outer Space" from Ed Wood. It was a golden age.

The Thing, The Day The Earth Stood Still, The Day The Earth Caught Fire. The latter just pipped into the sixties but is one of the last of the era and genre.

There are so many horribly wrong but good films from that time. Too many to mention I think.

Is that the one with the alien in the underground station? That's the one I like.

And, I think it's "It Came From Outer Space", the one with Jelly Vision and hysterical screaming.
