1980's Gitane now on Ebay as of 8/6/17

This is my Gitane road bike in tidy condition no dents or other life threatening faults but with the usual evidence of age.
C - C 53cm x 53cm
constructed of Reynolds 531 tubes.
Simplex front and rear derailleurs and shifters. The crank is a good looking Stronglight 53/42
Non index 5 speed 14/28 freewheel. Mavic rims and Pelissier hubs.
Belleri St Etienne bars ( not sure about stem)
Weinmann 605 brakes and leavers. JPR fluted seat post,original French "professional" saddle .
If anyone is interested l am happy to provide more detailed photos.
The only thing that needs replacing will be tyres. I am not currently advertising the bike on Ebay or any where else .

At the moment l am trying to get all the bits together to finish the Moser and see how it rides. It is a bit on the large size for me and l have lowered the seat to the point where l should be ok. Of course it doesn't look as nice as when all that panto stem was visible but thats just tough. To answer your question, now don't breath a word to anyone (especially my other half) but my useful contact in Italy is looking for a Bianchi Rekord 748 celeste. It has to be 55-55c-c and ridiculously cheap, whatever that might mean.
