picked up a nice original Carlton Pro am 12 today from its only previous owner who bought it new in 1982 as a winter training bike .

knee problems has meant all his bikes have now been sold , i thought at one stage he was going to shed a tear as i walked away with this one .

i was also given the original sales brochure so if anybody wants some info from it please ask

I have a 1980 Carlton Criterium (among others) which has of course attracted replacements parts in its lifetime before I bought it. It would be good to know its original spec and colour - I wonder if the OP could dig the Criterium spec out of the catalogue (if still in the catalogue at that time) please?

biggs682, thanks for the attachments - they're perfect for what I wanted. And thanks for scanning the complete catalogue, it also gave information on my '78 Corsair. Time to start ferreting around for replacement parts! Thanks again.

I have recently got myself a 1979 Carlton Criterium, and would love to see the original spec and colours. Mine's pale metallic green, not sure what has and has not been replaced, though I suspect most of it is original. . biggs682, if you had a spare moment to email me the same attachment I would be eternally grateful. Many thanks.

had to get this brochure out tonight and check to see what OTHER colours Corsairs came in as up to 2.5 hrs ago i had only seen bronzy brown ones and then an almost royal blue one appeared out of a box that landed on my doormat today .
