Hi guys need some advice please, I have decided I would like to get into biking I have recently done a 60 mile round trip on a relatives pashley guvnor road bike and really enjoyed it 
I am going to attempt a 140mile round trip over several days to get me into the biking spirit along a canal/towpath & roads mostly and the odd light trail so bike needs to handle minor off road like roots stumps etc I really liked the pashley especially the low maintenance of the integrated gears of the strumy archer hub. So my plan was to get a new cheap 700c fixied/fixie bike as I think they look great and put a strumy archer or shimano nexus rear hub or something along those lines on and put some slightly more trail worthy tires on. Firstly would this be suitable for my trip and also is possible to change rear hub and if so how as I have no bike maintenance knowledge? Do I need a complete rear wheel with hub or can I just purchase hub....etc. any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
