something to make you laugh

Well, after having this bike for 4 weeks now, (2 of those away on holiday), I thought i would go for proper cycling shoes and clips yesterday. Got to work ok, but tonight grrrrr.

1st. Just hopped on bike outside of work, went to pull away could not get left shoe in clip then just slowly went over like a cartoon willie coyote, flat on my side, lucky no cars coming. funny

2nd, pulled up to lights, and the same happened as above but put foot out which slipped and went over some.

anyway, the post isn't so much about the incidents, its more that faith being restored in people. the first one when i was flat on my side, a couple came over and asked and were concerned. the second, the lovely lady on her bike infront asked and made sure i was ok too. So there aer nice people out there.

Shame i dont use the camera now ( would have made funny videos.

I think its part of the clipless initiation, I just did it the once, some kids were looking at me out of the side of their car,

"Mummy why is the fat man on the bike lying down"

This thread is useless without videos!

I'll whisper the next bit...I've never had a clipless moment.....yet!

That's not really a crash though is it?

No, but it's a distraction which can so easily be the forerunner to a crash.

Strangely enough, I very nearly had a clip related off this morning, after brisk ride in I came to a halt outside the showers and couldnt get my left foot out, hadnt enough time to get the right out and had to lean against the fence, the bloody screw that holds the cleat in had fell out !

New shoes on the way home, have save £60 on fuel in the last month so have budget to spend on Cycling gear without wifely dissaproval.
