26" wheels (for cantis, not discs)

Hi - I've been given an early Muddy Fox. The frame is sound and although most of the moving bits are seized I think I can remedy that with WD-40 and time.

However, it has two wobbly wheels - the bearings feel rough, they're both buckled and the spoke holes look stretched. So I wondered if anyone has any old 26" wheels kicking about (preferably round ones!) for use with cantilever brakes?

I'm looking to budget (re)build, so if you have very nice ones then they're probably out of budget.

Oh, and I'm in Sheffield so I can collect within a reasonable distance.

(I'm also on the look out for a 38 tooth biopace ring, on the off-chance. One of the seized items is the front derailleur - neither of the other two rings look worn, but the middle one is knackered - a long shot I know!)

I have some spare 26 inchers, front and rear (but not necessarily exact matches! I'm in Scunthorpe (and working in Lound near Retford this week. I can tell you what I've got if distance is near enough for you to be interested.

What MF is it and have you got any pics? I had a courier with a white/lilac fade paint scheme in the mid/late 80's and I've had one eye open looking for one for a while now.

Thank you - didn't see your reply as it turns out I don't get email notifications. Sorry for not replying. I have something of an update though: it turns out I am an idiot. It's got 700c wheels, and being used to road bikes I didn't even notice - they just look like normal size wheels to me, and because of the cantis and fat tyres I just assumed they were 26" Did I mention I haven't cycled much for almost 20 years?

So, I had the genius idea of buying another bike for spares. And somehow I convinced the OH that this was genius too. And then I got bidding and, well, I have three Muddy Foxes now, when last week I had none.

I have a Trailblazer Sport (the one that is 700c, it turns out - think it's from 1991 or 92) - let's be modern and call it a 29er eh? And I also now have a Pathfinder (91 I think) and a Seeker (89 possibly) Will get around to pictures soon m (oh, and the Pathfinder came with two working wheels and one with a broken freewheel, so I now have 3 Muddy Foxes and seven wheels - four are straight, two have a wobble (not as bad as I thought actually, going to take them to the LBS to ask advice) and one has a freewheel that is 'free' in both directions. But out of that lot I have two bikes that work - yay!
