3 Peaks Cyclo Cross

I fancy going to watch the 3 Peaks Cyclo Cross on Sunday. Can anyone recommend good spots to watch from?

My initial choice would be at the end of the bridleway section below pen-y-gent, but I was wondering what spectator access along the narrow walled lane was like there. I would also like to nip through to watch a bit of the action at Ingleborough. Is it permissible to ride/push along the part of the course on footpath between Gill Garth and Ingleborough? This would avoid a detour by road via Helwith Bridge. I notice on the 3 peaks CC website it says that permission has been gained for cycling on certain sections just for the day. Is this likely to include spectators?

I reckon if you post in racing with a title like 3 Peaks cyclocross- where to watch? you'll get some tips, some of the posters in there have done it/ are doing it.

I read "Racing" as "road racing". TBH I find racers a bit intimidating, breed apart them people, the guts determination and stamina always amazes me in any cycle sport. I used to feel the same watching mc racing. They are a different class to us lesser mortals.
