Just googled it. I dont know the area but 6000 ft of climb in 100 km sounds like a strenuos ride to me.

The site does say that they have tried to avoid the worst hills.

Hi, Sparky. I've signed up for this. I managed 62 miles last Sunday. I thought that was pretty hilly, but I just found it had only about 2200 ft of climb, so 6000ft is going to be pretty tough. I just hope there are enough people and flat runs to get a bit of a tow to make things a bit easier.

I don't know the area at all - but I'll be visiting family in Liverpool, so the event fitted in quite well.

Look out for the old guy on the red Mercian with the saddlebag.

I've signed up for this, still haven't received much info though.

I do know the area quite well and I'm pleased that they've avoided some of the real killer climbs. Should be lumpy but doable.

By the looks of it this event goes all but passed my house but I can't really understand exactly where it goes.

BTW: Most of the climb up through Macc forest are killers. So much for avoiding the major climbs! (It remains to be seen where it goes).

Doesn't it come through Macc Forest on the way back to the finish? I haven't mapped the course out yet but I'd imagine you'd be doing more descending rather than climbing through the Forest.
