Best film I've seen in a long time.

While I enjoy most genre of films apart from Horror and most sci fi, I love films that are totally dialogue driven. If they are based on a play even better as Glengarry Glen Ross is one of my top 10 of all time for this reason

Anyway 44 Inch Chest is a film while not thick on plot and an ending that leaves you thinking mmmmm what about the loose ends, it is full of characters, dialogue a great acting.

Not really a chick flick and full of the crudest swear words. Mrs Greedo lost interest as she can't be bothered listening to that and as punishment I've to watch Up In The Air with George Clooney tonight as that's on this disc as well

So if you like John Hurt, Ray Winstone, Ian MacShane (who's brilliant). Watching guys act there socks off, don't mind the C word and like British made films then this is for you.

Love Fargo. Love the Coen Brother films although they can be a bit too anal at times

I watched and interview about them and that camera shot that looks down the fence in the snow in Fargo. They argued for 2 hours whether the shot should be to the right or the left!!!

I see the script writer wrote Sexy Beast. If it's anywhere near as good as that, it should be a decent film. I see Angelo Badalamenti wrote some of the music too.

That's a great wee film, same director as Juno. Lots of understated humour and Clooney plays it well.

+1, Up In The Air is a fantastic film (despite Clooney being in it! Actually he's very good and I can see where the talk of an Oscar nomination is coming from).

Spot on review - I absolutely loved it (Mrs BH, not so much - not being a big fan on the "c word" as she refers to it.)

Winstone on form - Hurt, likewise

McShane - majestic!

I was involved in the casino scene. Watching the two actors (Berkoff and McShane) having to keep their hilarious, c***ing energy up for the endless retakes drives home what it takes to make it as a top face-puller.

John Hurt's Old Man Peanut is a class act too.

Well, watched Up In The Air and I must say. It was really good. I like George Clooney, think he's a decent actor and like the fact he plays the game in hollywood to his advantage.

I just thought it was going to be a rom com and it wasn't. Really enjoyed it.

SWMBO and I watched Sexy Beast for the first time this weekend. Absolutely brilliant. Thoroughly recommended.

(added piquancy from the fact that we had some alfresco how's-yer-father in Agua Amarga, where it was filmed)
