Daft.
I would rather see more widespread 3G coverage.
Indeed there are still parts of the country local to me and just a mile from the M4, with no coverage at all.

All these Gs seem to be like blades on disposable razors. No sooner do you get conned into using one with 3 blades, then suddenly they are telling you that unless you use 4, you're going to look like a caveman.

I'm still on 2G using a phone I got for free, no need for anything more plus my phone is nice and small^_^ .

SWMBO turned off 3g as a battery saving measure and she never has any issues.

Loads of areas round here with no voice signal, let alone 3G or 4G. Vodafone can't even voice cover some of the small coastal towns in full, such as Aldeburgh and Leiston, yet it is still an improvement on O2. 3G is clustered round the bigger towns and along the A12 and A14.

A while back, I tried running an app on my phone that would show on Mrs Rezillo's pc where I was on my my bike ride. Two miles up the road, it lost signal and I appeared to Mrs R to be stationary for 20 minutes until it picked up signal again and I leapt several miles in a second. Completely useless using it as similar false alarms happened for the rest of the ride.

a decent 2g service up the highlands would be great, but that could be an o2 problem. However I`m still with the the majority on this, I really don`t see the point and shall wait until the coverage is saturated first.

I'm looking to upgrade my contract in the next month, all I want is an unlimited data package as I don't use the calls that much. Unless i'm missing something its pretty unlikely I can get that. It seems pointless to get 4g when u only get 1-3 gig of data for an affordable monthly charge.

4g would be great, but I think you would need an unlimited data tariff. I think it's only EE who are pushing 4g at the moment and I read the other day that take up has been poor because of punitive pricing.
