Not quite - I'd need to look it up but I recall that to enter for a right turn your exit must be clear with the only thing stopping you moving being oncoming traffic crossing your path

I have checked for you and you are spot on - with the added qualification that you can also enter the box if your exit is blocked by other motorists waiting to turn right.

4/7, but some of them were worded badly! You can toot the horn to attract attention, it even said that in the answer, yet the stated correct answer was that you can't!

5/7 but then I don't drive, have never taken a lesson and have barely glanced at the highway code.

I got the speed limit one and the passing on a hill questions wrong.

Re; the passing on a hill question, does this apply to bikes going up with cars coming down? If so, why do car drivers repeatedly ignore this fact when I take primary in this situation?

I got the speed limit one wrong. But I am not a UK citizen. I didn't know you are allowed to do 70 on a dual carriage way. Some of them are very badly worded.

I also got the one about giving way to traffic coming up a hill wrong. Or rather it's another one that 'they' got wrong!

The Highway Code states that you should

"Give way to road users coming up hill whenever you can" (Page 52 No 155).

It is NOT law. The BBC question sated who "MUST" give way. The Highway Code uses the word 'must' when reffing to a law that you have to comply with. The Highway Code does not state that you 'must' give way to users coming up a hill because it's not always the right thing to do, it just usually is.

We woz robed! ;0)

I got that one wrong, because although I knew the polite convention is to give way to those coming up hill, I didn't think it was actually in the Highway Code.

Drat. 6/7 because of that.
