Hi,

I'm looking for some 700c wheels for my 1986 Peugeot road bike, preferably something lightweight.

Can you be more specific?
7 or 8 speed?
how light, what spoke count or what is your budget?

Thanks for your reply.
At the moment the bike has the original 5 speed freewheel fitted but i'll be looking to upgrade in the near future.
Nothing too fancy just looking to upgrade from original chrome wheels on the bike at the moment.
Looking to spend no more than £60.

I've got a pair of these

The hubs are badged for a Cannondale Quick but the logo is very subtle grey so you hardly notice it. They are very nice - probably about 2.2kgs with a cassette and skewers in total for the pair. Hey they're not the lightest wheels ever but pretty hardy - the Quick is designed for a bit of light trail use after all!

I was about to advertise them today for £50 without the cassette, which is a Shimano 9-speed by the way, but would sell them for 60 with the cassette - (not including courier fee!). Incidentally I've just spent some time this weekend cleaning them pretty well so they're looking good.

should just also mention the tyres in the picture are not in the sale - but also worth noting the wheels have had 700x40, 32 and 23mm tyres fitted and all rode without problems so quite a good wheelset for either road or hybrid use.
