70mm pads in 52mm shoes?

Well I ordered some Koolstops and they have arrived today. I put them in my pads and realised that they were too big (no sizes on website). However, it seems as though they are unlikely to slide out as I have put the screws in a little (not enough to push pad out) and with the direction of the wheel, they wont come out.

I have given it a few squeezes of the brake around the driveway and they seem to work fine.

I still need some advice on this. Went out today and they seemed to work fine.

I wouldn't. 70 mm sounds like you bought MTB pads. Shimano are 52, campag 55.

It's a safety critical part, so bogging things to fit is a no no.
