I ad lib quite a lot with cooking and make a meal with whatever i have or havent got. Anyhow tuther day i was overdue a shopping trip but had loads of broad beans from the garden.....so put a mugful or so to simmer while i fried some quorn sausages chopped into bite size pieces. Added a chopped onion and two chillies to the pan. When everything was nicely fried poured a cup of water in and added veggie gravy granules, drained the cooked broad beans and in the pan they went with a knob of butter/pepper/salt. A good stir and served in a bowl and eaten with a good whole meal bread.
Broad beans can be difficult to amalgamate/harmonise in a meal but this simple recipe worked very well and was very tasty!
