If I lived in Essex, I would be tempted for a tenner. It doesn't look too bad really. The rims look good which is where you can sink money into one of those bikes as replacements are tricky to get hold of. Wipe the frame over with a mix of diesel and paraffin and you'd be surprised how well it would look. Raleigh chrome was of high quality in those days and can usually be revived to an acceptable standard.

Hard to say from the photo but those rims look like they might be stainless steel, in which case they are worth more than a completely refurbed bike! Tyres in 26 x 1 3/8 are cheap and easily available online.

Oh, and what sort of eejit put on the spoke reflectors? They look shoot and are really out of place on a bike like this.

Yes! You know it makes sense. That rust'll just polish right off :rolleyes:. Just tell Mrs Focus that someone had left it in your front garden and it seemed cruel to throw it away...
