looking at http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...uctId_777747_langId_-1_categoryId_165499#tab2 ( with my BC 10% ) as a "fun " bike for the weekends ( previous MTB was stolen and not gottan round to replacing it due to lack of time etc)

ok looking at a bike around this price ( no more then £600 due to SWMBO) needs to
- be lightish so can be a "bad weather commuter" (22miles i class bad weather ice/snow)
- be good for mid off road trails etc nothing xtreme
- need to be good for kid attachment ( have a 9mth old whom looking at getting something like a Weeride)

looking for views on the components etc

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Boardmans are good bikes , i have the road comp and love it .
assuming it has lockable forks i can see nowt wrong with it although for commuting i would be tempted by the flat bar road version (dang i cant find the link atm ) for rack/panniers etc although would it be right for your trails ?

Thanks i ride with a crag 42 lt back pack so no need for racks etc willl check the forks are lockable

Seems to be a good bike and the forks do lockout. I'd normally avoid Suntour forks but those Epicons actually get good reviews.
