Itching to get back on my bike's

You will get seriously hot so probably a good idea. When I was off the bike I moved the exercise bike out into the garage and left the door open so the air got in but was still dripping by the end of a session.
very true ours is positioned by an opening door ....so the cobwebs get blown off it every time we go in the garage

Well today was a busy day! The afternoon was setting up the new turbo trainer as the weather is heading south...think Antarctic! I've never used one before so was a bit apprehensive. Got it all set up and actually liked it (it was a real shame as the weather today was actually quite nice but I was desperate to get it working). Apart from the fact that I was actually melting, I felt that it was a better workout than my normal cycle...I had to pedal all the way!!!

Will it last???
No, it won't last. I sold mine after it having very little use. I'm an outdoors person end of story.

Also keep a small towel handy. I kept mine over the handlebars whilst I had a turbo trainer. It made wiping the sweat off me much easier.

I also found watching a film helped our listening to the powerfest cds useful - select how long you wanted to train for and they did the timing for you, you just had to pedal to the best of the music and follow the instructions...

Ive been toying with the idea of getting one now the weather is heading east  I do love being outside riding but I just get so cold . My fingers and toes go like blocks of ice and hurt enough for me to head home .
Are they any good for drying clothes on though ? If I got one it would go next to my weight lifting bench that is perfect for drying bed sheets on . I guess a turbo would be good for socks and pants ?

I've bought my first ever Turbo Trainer recently and I'm still loving it. I've got it setup in the conservatory with loud music to motivate me. The Turbo Trainer is not the same as cycling outdoors and so I accept it for what it is which is an exercise routine using a machine whose geometry will keep the right muscles fit ready for when I return to the outdoors.
