Purveyor of fine nonsense
She rang the doorbell, I opened, she started her sales pitch. I interrupted her by throwing my head back, putting my hands up like two paws and howling as loud and long as I could. By the time I'd stopped and looked down again, she'd gone.

Hmm my problem this last week is Talktalk phonecalls ... "Please can we talk to Mr Summerdays?", "He's at work" - repeat that on a daily basis ... one time I managed to suggest that they were Talktalk before they had a chance to tell me - which threw him slightly. I was thinking about offering them a deal that they could phone me and I could repeat the answer on a daily basis if they knock £1 off our monthly bill each time. Do you think they would agree?

The thing is with all these companies isn't it quite normal to expect the person not to be at home during the day.

We ask for details in both cases of who they are, where they got our details form, and the details of their Company's complaints procedure - they don't even get the chance to sell anything

We are a customer ... they are trying to upgrade us I imagine... though we don't want to upgrade, so they legitimately have our details. But they will only discuss with the person named on the account.

Good system you have there sir.

Safer than mine, which used to be open the door in just black speedos, cowboy boots and a strong wink. Worked fine, especially on halloween with the trick or treat kids, until the last caller who was just out publicising the local same sex sub-dom charity shop.
