A Retro Find

I’m picking up my (new to me) bike this evening. I’ve wanted a Brian Rourke for some time now, this one is a 51cm steel frame and has a mix of Campagnolo and Shimano Components with Mavic MA40 wheels. Sellers photo below but I’ll post better picks once I’ve given it a good Fettle.

What colour bar tape would you use?

white looks nice for week or two ands then gets grubby. I'd put a brown saddle and brown bar tape on it, but I think what I'm saying is decide on the saddle first and match to that.

The seller is selling it for the family of his club mate who sadly passed away, he says it’s a 2010?

Thank you for the info, I’ve emailed Rourke with the frame number which is 8437. It looks a much older frame than 2010 but we’ll see.

I picked up the bike last night and I have to say I’m a little disappointed ☹️
It has obviously been well used, I’ve removed the knackered mudguards, it looks good from 10 feet but up close the paint is a bit scabby and there is a small ding in the top tube.
I’m not sure what to do with it, it has a 51cm seat tube and a 55cm top tube so it will definitely fit me, I will give it a good clean but may sell it on.
