Sheddy we had to be careful riding on road as well due to ice on untreated roads going up the Kentmere Valley and going down parts of the road down Longsleddale valley put enjoyable day out.

Did you manage to ride any of it because it looks from the pics like you pushed for most of it!

Hi Kirstie it was quicker to push the bikes through the snow on the track from Stile End to Sadgill than try to ride through it! You could ride the last section of the track down into Sadgill but in summer months its a great little track to do as you ride most of it.

Great pics of the lakes as usual! Looked like a 'fun' ride in those conditions.

I'll be across in Ambleside for valentines weekend (hey im an old romantic), may take the MTB and leave the missus in the spa!
