A week in North Devon (Bideford) - Where to visit? (conditions apply)

Heading down to the south west in June, two couples, and two dogs, and would like some ideas of nice places to visit who allow dogs. I've already spotted a distinct lack of beaches, although Saunton Sands doesnt seem far away and allows dogs I think. Any suggestions welcome

I'm Jealous!
The Coast path will take you to some great little beaches off the beaten track which dogs can go on.
Agree that Croyde is great but no dogs allowed at that time of year.
I got some great little maps of the area from a man in Croyde - think his website is croydecycle.co.uk
He posts them out - very cheap & very useful if you want to do some walking.
Go for a meal in The Rock in Georgeham if you're in the area - fantastic puddings & we took the dog!

Thanks folks. PLanning on visiting Saunton Sands and Woolacombe beaches, doing some of the coastal paths, and of course spending a few hours exploring on the road bike, and maybe doing the Exmoor cycle route. Fingers crossed for some nice weather in June

You could go to Westward Ho! if you want to step back in time.

Blimy that brings back memories, very many years ago me and the Mrs had a holiday at Westward Ho, we visited the village a few years later and the holiday park where we had stayed had become a housing estate.
