A week off the bike and it's torture

Decided to have a week off the bike this week. Did the Norwich 50 on Sunday which was furthest I'd ever ridden abs my first organised event. Loved it but ended up with a crook knee. Never had problems before on several 40 milers so only thing I can attribute it to is the fact that trying to overtake slower riders in busy sections meant that I was applying much more pressure trying to sprint round them - especially uphill. After 38 mikes I had a pain on inside of knee. Soldiered on and finished but then had pain on my Monday commute so (apart from commute of 6 miles in total) I'm not riding this week. It's killing me though. Trained quite a but for the 50 as I tend to have joint problems so need to prepare slowly and I miss being on my bike so much. Desperate to go out but hubby has banned me as we're keen to restart training next week for a 60 mile Sportive next month. But isn't it amazing how training become part of you.
