oooooo, im so FRUSTRATED! i planned a nice cycle route today, and when i got on i noticed my pedal arm is loose, so i get down to sort it, and the nut is slightly rounded, so i try and take it off., it on hard!
i get part way then the ratchet slips and nut becomes completly rounded.

then i remember i had trouble last time so i used locktite ARRRG! so now iv got a mega lose pedal arm and a rounded nut with locktite!

in a moment of frustration iv even tryed a hammer and chisel, nothing budges it,

any ideas?

The answer is N+1 - then, when one's working, you're still OK. Except when that's not working, then it's N+1 again

It's just possible there's a fitting for an Allen key in the recess...there sometimes is. Also, I'm sure you're aware that as with bottom brackets, one of your pedals has a reverse thread. The left hand one (or, you might say, the left foot one) has to be unscrewed by going clockwise. Right is right, left is wrong.
