Abandoned my experiment with Mozilla Firefox.

Firefox has suddenly decided it doesn't want me to log in to any websites - when I type in my email address and password and hit return it loses them and the site just comes back and asks for my password again.

I've cleared out my cookies and history and the computer is set to accept cookies, I've removed and reloaded Mozilla but still it refuses to work so I've gone back to IE, which doesn't do tabs as well as MF.

The MF website has FAQs but none of them describes my problem. Any ideas anybody?

cleared cache as well? Never had this problem except for a cookie-issue. many moons of use of MF behind me, must be at least 10 by now...

Go to tool, options, security and make sure "remember passwords for sites" is checked.

Also when using cleaning tools like ccleaner make sure you haven't selected passwords etc. under firefox.

Firefox has hundreds of millions of users. It does work!

Thanks - this isn't a problem of Mozilla not remembering passwords, what seems to be happening is that Mozilla is deleting passwords the moment I hit return to enter them into a website. The login page just reappears asking for email and password.

I use Firefox as my #2 browser and have never had that problem; nor any other problems with it, come to that. If it was me, I would re-install a fresh download.

My default browser is Chrome. Simple and very quick.

Does Chrome give you the multiple tabs that Firefox was giving me? That was the main attraction for me.

By jingo you're right - clicking on login rather than just hitting return solves the problem. How did you work that out?

PS: Correction: it works with Hotmail but not Orange Mail.

Hitting return might not always be set up to log you in, depends on the website.

Just downloaded Google Chrome and it seems to be doing everything I need.
