I love the way some bands and artists can do this.

Acoustic performances and the ability to reinterpret your work shows a confidence and level of skill that illustrates the difference between the Xfactor and real artists.

PS - As a callow youth I saw a band called the Blue Oyster Cult at the Hammersmith Odeon (1976?) when a band called Motorhead appeared for the first time as a support act for a big major band!

Also saw Lemmy with Hawkwind prior to that.

It's for that reason that I love the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain. Their Wuthering Heights, in the style of a Northern club singer is fantastic.

I've just seen a geat ad on More4. It's an ad for the well-known brand of Lager, with a bluesy soundtrack .I thought I recognised the gravely voice, It was Lemmy singing 'Ace Of Spades' much slower than usual, with an acoustic guitar and harmonica, blues style!. Brilliant!

I just googled it, and it turns out that it's shown on tv for the first time today. I used to be a big fan of Motorhead, many moons ago. But as I get older I've chilled out, and although I still like their old stuff, It's all a bit too loud and frantic for me now. But I really liked this, different ... Slow The Pace

I will let my old mate Dylan know - him and his working partner made the film. They made No Distance Left to Run - the blur documentary too. Talented bloke - and the most unlovey/Nathan Barley type you will meet.
