hey guys, I just want to share my tour with you. It was my first tour and I learned a lot on the way, but it was an absolutely amazing experience. I never thought I could get that far north, but the great scenery and inspiring other cyclists and kind people I met made it all possible.
my day-by-day journal is at http://www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/CAN2013
or a more condensed summary: http://iohangue.wordpress.com/2013/09/16/recap-and-whats-next/

And if you are ever planing a tour, don't delay it because its too hard, or you think you can't do it!

Woweeee. Puts my LEJOG effort to shame. Quite agree though that if anyone is thinking about a tour - do it! However long or short.

Johan, i have just started reading your blog. Hats off to you mate for jumping in the deep end and doing it.

I am sat typing this while looking at multi million pound boats in Palma harbour. I am touring Mallorca on my Koga at the moment. Its a bit warmer here than what you had it.

Funnily enough I broke both my lower arms in a motorbike accident so know what an extra achievement it is for you.

What bike was you using?

Steve

thanks, I used Opus - Legato (a montreal brand), it was much cheaper than getting surly in ontario so I went with it. The only issue I had is a broken front rack which I had to ziptie back up.
and starting in Spain and riding back to Bulgaria (where I am originally from) is on my list for after I graduate.

Thanks for sharing your amazing tour, Iohan. Great blog and video. Well done on completing such a lengthy trip through some pretty grim conditions. So many miles, so much oatmeal!
