Actors who change their appearance

I was watching Iron Man last night and it was about half an hour into the film before I realised one of the characters was played by Jeff Bridges. A remarkable visual transformation - achieved merely by shaving off his hair and wearing a beard.

Another example, but not quite so effective, is Christian Bale in the Machinist.

Or, looking at it another way, Daniel Craig who appeared in Our Friends in the North, underwent a dramatic transformation to portray James Bond.
