Just been looking at a 2014 model Cube Stereo, very impressed with it for the price, which was knocked down to just over £1.600, supposedly from £2,300. Some questions, if you'd be so kind to tell me your thoughts:
1) Are they any good?
2) Is it a bad idea to get a part carbon framed mountain bike?
3) I'm erm 'fairly hefty' so don't fancy bouncing round on the rear shock when I'm on the road. The shop said the rear shock can be inflated further to prevent most of the bounce on the hardest setting, is this correct?
4) I appreciate it's overkill, but it'd be mostly used for forest riding, bridelways, footpaths, field, the odd bit of 'actual' mountain biking and a reasonable amount of road work. Is a 29er best, as not so long back some shops were telling me to get a 26 or 27 inch wheel.
I'm not wanting to buy anything that's no good, ugly (to me) or rubbish, so it's really between one of these or a Trek Fuel as I've always been really, really impressed with Treks.
Any thoughts (polite ones, anyhow!) gratefully received, thanks in advance.
