Advice on spending my money :p

Hi there
Ok so im 16 and i have a budget of no more than £250ish. I know how tempting it is to spend more from what i have been looking at, but i am (supposed to be) saving for Uni and learning to drive amongst other things with paperround money.

For 4 years i have ridden a veeeerrrryyyy heavy full suspension halfords apollo thingy bike, but i mainly ride roads in the local area so obviously this isnt appropriate. Nor safe as its falling apart due to the abuse of a paperround.

So i am looking for a hybrid basically. These two i have been looking at in halfords (i know people wont like that ) and im leaning toward the second, its price is 100 less in store btw.

The Carrera is more road style with thinner tyres and less gears (2 front cogs rather than 3) and its probably lighter so im leaning toward that currently.

hi, just wondering, how do you know that its £100 cheaper in store? are they all £100 cheaper?

I dont know if they all are but in Stevenage that bike is down to £250, i know just from visiting lol, i only found out when i went to look at the Saracen
