age of Raleigh bike

hi. i got this old womans Raleigh bike belonging to a neighbour who died in 1985 and was in her 80s. i was told by the person who gave it to me that its 1930s. but i would like another opinion. i have restored the bike. the raleigh badge on the front and the old decals are still on it. it says nestors of limerick on one decal which is a shop in limerick that sold raleigh bikes from the 1920s-1950s and the second is a 2080 decal on it. you can see where the tyre pump is held. the white strip on the mudguard was still on it so i restored that too.

No expert on vintage Raleigh Im afraid but the white paint indicates it was used during the second world war. Nice bike, shame you don't know more about the history.

Nestor Bros. had a sport shop at 28 O'Connell street, Limerick. Derek worked on the bikes.

The Bike Shop, on O'Connell Avenue, comes up now. Try 061 315900 and see if they have the records from Nestor Bros.

Raleigh were notoriously picky about frame numbers for the bean counters. I guess there us a frame number somewhere. Near the saddle on the seat lug?

The seat stays are welded on which suggests 1950s or later. Earlier bikes had bolt-on seat stays.
Is there a frame number on the bottom bracket?
