This van driver is obviously looking at the wrong traffic lights and sets off through the red. Without wanting to get into the whole "Are Airzounds useful" debate (for the 2nd time this week) I'm 99% sure that the van driver wouldn't have stopped had I not toot tooted him. Admittedly, it looks as though the traffic coming from the left (the right and centre lanes) were switched on enough and stopped anyway, but the left hand lane from this junction can go into the left or right lane (or in this case the side of the van?)

I didn't get a thankyou, but I suppose the van driver didn't know it was me who warned him.

It's close but his reaction time is very good if he only stopped cos he heard you, I have a junction like this on my commute had quite a few funny ones where the car behind thinks we have green and beeps at me for not moving, only to have me point at the lights they should be watching, badly designed, dangerous junctions.

there is a filter on the Mall in London that attracts similar accidental jumps. As the filter that is directly opposite and in the line of sight turns amber cars start to roll early. I've noticed that the traffic bods have now placed a hood over the offending filter.
